ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in consulting? Our R&D Technical Consultant position offers a unique opportunity to learn on the job while helping companies unlock financial support for their innovative projects. This role involves identifying and assessing R&D projects, preparing supporting technical documentation, and managing claims from start to finish.
You’ll gain hands-on experience working with companies & clients across various sectors, including engineering, manufacturing, construction, software development, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, healthcare, agriculture, and energy. We fully support your training and continuous professional development, helping you grow within our team and the professional services industry.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL:
- Identify qualifying R&D projects by participating in technical discussions with clients in your specialist area, which may include engineering, software development, biomedical sciences, or other relevant disciplines based on your background.
- Perform technical assessments of projects to ensure they meet R&D criteria.
- Prepare technical reports and documentation that summarize the R&D work in a way that’s accessible to others.
- Work closely with clients’ technical and financial teams to understand the value of the claim in line with R&D Relief Guidelines.
- Manage R&D claims through to completion, maintaining client information in our CRM system.
- Assist clients with R&D claims in the event of any follow-up questions from HMRC.
