ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Familiarity with databases, SQL, and data modelling concepts.
  • Excellent IT skills and proficiency in MS office suite of applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High standard of English, both written and oral.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Candidate should be ambitious, dynamic and well-motivated.

ADVANTAGEOUS CANDIDATE SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in programming with C#.
  • A sound understanding of data analytics and visualisation methodologies.

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As a Graduate Software Engineer, you will be engaged in the creation and maintenance of custom software applications tailored to meet our organisation’s analytical and reporting requirements. Working alongside experienced engineers, consultants, and researchers, you will contribute to the optimisation of workflows and support critical decision-making processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developing and maintaining in-house software utilising primarily C# and related technologies.
  • Managing, analysing, and retrieving data effectively using databases (e.g. SQL).
  • Ensuring data quality and developing methodologies for effective data visualisation.
  • Collaborating with colleagues, including consultants and PhD-level researchers, to identify requirements and translate them into robust software solutions.
  • Keeping abreast of advancements in software engineering and data analytics.
