Post Title: Graduate Teaching Fellow in Clinical Psychology
School/Department: School of Life & Medical Sciences/Psychology, Sport & Geography
FTE: 1.0 FTE (working 37 hours per week)
Duration of Contract:12-month fixed term contract
Salary: UH6 £32,296pa to 37,999pa by annual increments on achieving designated
skills and experience
Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year
Location: College Lane Campus

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

You will be able to plan and manage your own activities effectively and have good oral and written communication skills. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

You will have a minimum of a honours degree in psychology or equivalent whilst having a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject or equivalent experience would be desirable.

Responsibilities:

As a programme we are working to ensure that our training is inclusive, culturally appropriate and anti-discriminatory. As part of this, we are currently creating an equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy led by the current EDI lead. The main responsibilities of this post will be in supporting the development and implementation of an EDI strategy across the course team. This will include supporting with selection, conducting audits, with the development of a mentoring programme and planning of Widening Access events.
In addition, and as part of this role you will be required to support with all aspects of the training experience and additional duties and responsibilities, as agreed in line management include: to work under the support and guidance of qualified members of the programme team; to contribute to the organisation and implementation of the academic components of the curriculum including clinical simulations, and assist with the coordination and preparation of module teaching and learning activities; to support with activities related to placement allocation and scoping; to support student engagement activities within the department; to support research activities; to join relevant programme sub-committees; to undertake a range of general academic administrative duties and to maintain effective electronic or manual systems with particular regard to quality audit requirements. You will be willing to work under the support and supervision of qualified members of the team whilst maintaining a reasonable degree of autonomy in carrying out the above responsibilities.
