They are looking for a Grant Accountant to join the team with the following responsibilities:

  • Generate monthly billing and ensure the accuracy of claims.
  • Prepare financial reports including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and financial analyses.
  • Handle the preparation of government claims and other related reports for government and outside funding sources.
  • Ensure all monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual reports are completed accurately.
  • Assist with general fiscal operations and cross-train to support other staff.
  • Maintain a neat work area and ensure the security of files.
  • Demonstrate the ability to follow through on work assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a cooperative attitude with coworkers and interact professionally with the public.
  • Handle stress efficiently and maintain a pleasant demeanor.
  • Proven experience in grant accounting within the healthcare or NHS industry
  • Proficient in monthly billing and claims processing
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of fiscal operation
  • Ability to carry out audit tasks effectively
  • Excellent understanding of billing procedures
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional certification (e.g., CMA, CPA) is a plus.
