Description:
Robert Half is seeking a talented Grant Writer/Proposal Writer to join our client’s team to assist in securing funding for small businesses looking to launch and expand their operations. In this role, you will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to various funding organizations, foundations, and government agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Proven experience in grant writing, proposal development, or fundraising for non-profit organizations, small businesses, or government agencies.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
Strong research abilities with the capability to gather and synthesize information from diverse sources.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with grant management software is a plus.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities:
Research Funding Opportunities: Conduct thorough research to identify potential grant opportunities for small businesses in various sectors and industries. Stay updated on grant programs, eligibility criteria, and application deadlines.
Proposal Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather information about the business, its goals, and funding needs. Develop compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate the business’s mission, objectives, and intended use of funds.
Grant Writing: Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals tailored to specific funding opportunities. Ensure that proposals adhere to the guidelines and requirements outlined by funding organizations.
Grant Management: Monitor the progress of grant applications and maintain accurate records of submissions, responses, and outcomes. Coordinate with relevant team members to provide necessary documentation and information as requested by funding agencies.
Relationship Building: Cultivate relationships with funding organizations, program officers, and other stakeholders to enhance the organization’s visibility and access to funding opportunities. Attend networking events, conferences, and workshops to stay connected with the grant funding community.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all regulations and reporting requirements associated with grant funding. Prepare and submit interim and final reports as required by funding agencies to demonstrate the impact of the grants awarded.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about best practices in grant writing and fundraising strategies. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the grant writing process and recommend solutions to enhance the organization’s success in securing funding.
