About the Role:
Exciting opportunity for a dedicated Grants and Foundations Relationship Manager to join our Transformational Gifts team in this permanent full time role based out of Redfern, SYD with hybrid working arrangements.
Supporting both Corporate and Philanthropic Trusts and Foundations this role will manage a portfolio of donors and prospects in addition to identifying opportunities and developing funding applications / grant submissions in accordance with The Salvation Army’s strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with the grant response process including working with internal and external stakeholders to gain required information and inputs, preparing grant documents, coordinating the response, ensuring grants are submitted/presented within the required timeframe
  • Maintain an accurate database compiling the lifecycle of all applications
  • Ensure all successful funding applications are acknowledged and receipted, while maintaining up to date knowledge of The Salvation Army’s funding priorities
  • Conduct regular review and analysis of Trusts, Foundations and Ancillary Funds portfolio, providing valuable reporting to inform future revenue potential

About you:

  • Formal qualifications and/or extensive relevant experience in fundraising, marketing, sales or public relations
  • Experience in corporate or community services, preferably in development
  • Demonstrated experience in writing successful funding applications, grants and submissions
  • Facilitation and coordination of personnel to formulate quality, timely responses and submissions
  • Experience in negotiating and networking skills with HNWI (high net worth individuals) and senior executives
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising standards, principles, policies and procedures
