Description:
Serves as a liaison between Grants and Sponsored Projects Office and Information Services to assist in the development and ongoing upgrades needed for the MARS and Workday systems related to sponsored awards. Assists Research Analyst team lead with managing and submission of all federally mandated reports for which GSP is responsible. Assumes responsibility for data accuracy, for applications submitted, awards received, and accounts activated. Generates reports for upper-level executives both on a routine and ad hoc basis.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Requirement: 2+ years of experience in financial administration processes as applicable to grants and sponsored programs.
- Experience in relevant regulations as applicable to grants and sponsored programs.
- Some experience coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Direct experience with grant and contract administration preferred
- Basic understanding of using Power-Bi for reporting purposes.
- Prior NIH grant experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Support/coordinate management of grants and sponsored programs (e.g., preparation and review of proposal documents including budget, monitoring of subawards, award lifecycle management) more independently.
- Read, interpret, disseminate and apply federal and other sponsor guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements to support investigators and other relevant teams.
- Coordinate with members from research teams, sponsor institutions and other teams to facilitate standard issue resolution, and escalate as needed.
- Manage negotiation of standard terms and conditions associated with basic non-industrial sponsored research agreements to ensure consistency with institutional policies.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives within the team through suggestions and executing assigned tasks.
- Contribute to the development, preparation, revision, and finalization of project budgets and providing budget justifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
