Description:

We are currently looking to hire a Graphic & Multimedia Designer to join the Barry Group Team.
This position will assist and contribute towards the designs of Barry Group’s brands and the Marketing Division of the business.
Role Purpose
The Graphic & Multimedia designer must work creatively to ensure that all of the Barry Groups brands and divisions are working according to best practice and be a leading player in the FMCG market. They must maintain a high level of teamwork by incorporating a positive attitude, being supportive in words and actions, embodying the core values of Barry Group and communicating effectively at all levels.
Responsibilities
Design and create visual content that will be utilised across multiple channels including instore, online and on our social media platforms Facebook, Tik Tok, Instagram & LinkedIn.
Ensure leaflets, point of sale (POS) and social assets are created, creatively within deadline and are accurate every cycle.
Utilise graphic and animation skills to create artwork for websites, social media and other traditional and digital advertising displays.
Collaborate with the Design Division of the Marketing Department in the development of visual support, assets, packaging and multimedia projects.
Contribute to the development of the Carry Out / Costcutter / Barry Group brands and bring new initiatives to the fore.
Assist the Graphic Design Team Lead in the development of all brands in the Barry Group portfolio.
Assist the Brand Managers to ensure that all online, press and instore work outlined by the Marketing team are produced to a high standard and are delivered accurately and on time.
Responsible for the development of marketing material for the wholesale division, including ensuring timely and accurate delivery of the Independent Best Buys book
Design localised marketing campaigns.
Design NPD packaging, communication, internal & external launches.
Create & assist in design of internal Barry Group events.
Assist other departments with ad hoc design requirements.
Contribute to the overall workings and processes of the marketing division of the business.
Requirements
Have a thorough working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular After Effects, Photoshop and InDesign.
Have experience and knowledge of creating artwork for Digital Marketing.
Have experience working in a marketing department or relative field. Experience with food and alcohol brands would be advantageous.
Be a creative and innovative individual, willing to learn from our skilled team.
Have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a fast-paced environment.
Have strong presentation and communication skills.
Possess excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
Proofing and ensuring all designs are checked before sending for approval to other team members or departments.
Have the ability to work under pressure.
Strong written English and oral communication skills are essential.
Confident in your creative expertise, strong attention to detail and art-working skills, with these abilities being demonstrated in your portfolio / previous work.
Design experience and experience in the application of Marketing for FMCG brands is desirable, but not a critical requirement.
