Description:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Actively enrolled in, or a recent graduate from, a Graphic Design Diploma or Degree program, or related discipline.
- Intermediate skills in the use of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat and Microsoft Office.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- A passion for learning and growth.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Work experience in graphic design for pharmaceutical or medical device fields is an asset
- Solid design and conceptual skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback.Attention to accuracy, detail and deadline.
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Graphic Design Intern works with senior designers and experts within the Biomedical Communications team to develop and execute new/updated promotional materials and campaigns. Projects may include a broad range of print and digital media for a variety of distribution channels.
The intern will gain exposure to the marketing, promotion and sales of innovative medical devices, while interfacing with a range of stakeholders and subject matter experts such as Product Management, Clinical Education, Digital Marketing, Creative Marketing & Events, Regulatory, Intellectual Property, R&D and Quality.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Provide technical graphics assistance to fellow team members, internal clients and/or vendors/service providers.
- Work with Technical/Medical writers as well as Regulatory, Legal, and Medical Education teams to ensure regulatory compliance across all promotional material. Update design files as needed.
- Work with Biomedical Communications designers to create and/or support the design of digital and print materials for Boston Scientific’s products and services according to brand guidelines. Materials may include flyers, brochures, presentations, advertisements, fact sheets, exhibits/displays, motion graphics, and interactive applications among others.
- Export appropriate files and perform preflight as needed for intended output.
- Coordinate and maintain graphics libraries, media, digital records and other enterprise content. Build and maintain graphic and/or document templates where required
- Work with Digital Marketing and Events teams to coordinate and produce campaign and trade show materials.
- Champion brand standards and adhere to all company quality policies.
- Undertake special projects and other duties as required.
