Description:

DESCRIPTION OF JOB

This position serves as the multimedia manager and graphic designer for the Department, coordinating with other communications staff, state agencies, vendors and offices within CDHS.
This position is responsible for developing and overseeing multimedia content for CDHS and programs. This position works with the director of marketing, digital communications manager, internal communications manager and all office communications staff on a range of department-specific multimedia projects and programs, which may include graphic design, broadcast media, print, videography, and/or photography. This position is an active member of the CDHS communications team, responsible for collaborating with team members in brainstorming and problem solving.

EXPERIENCE ONLY:

Six (6) years of relevant experience in graphic design or marketing communications
OR

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A combination of related education in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, related advanced coursework in design, and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Minimum of 3 years, including hands-on experience with graphic design software.
  • Experience with videography and photography: Minimum 3 years experience with videography and photography, including video editing/photo editing software.
  • Experience presenting data in easy-to-understand formats, graphics and/or tables
  • Experience working in non-profit organization, public sector environment
  • Experience developing a range of marketing materials including branding assets, social media content, presentations, visual identity and the like.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and tight deadlines and quick turnaround times.
