KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience: Minimum 3-7 years of graphic design experience, with at least 1-2 years in a consulting environment (BCG, McKinsey, Bain, Kearney, etc.).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design (Optional), Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing work in consulting contexts, including presentations, infographics, and data visualizations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Microsoft PowerPoint, and other relevant design software.
• Design Acumen: Exceptional skills in visual storytelling, data visualization, and layout design with an eye for detail and consistency.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to work under tight deadlines and handle feedback constructively.
• Consulting Mindset: Understanding of the consulting process, client-facing experience, and the ability to think strategically about design’s role in business communication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or interactive design.
• Familiarity / understanding of general financial concepts and consulting topics to create a coherent story flow.
• Knowledge of UX/UI principles and their application in presentation and report design.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a skilled Graphic Designer with experience in top-tier consulting firms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of strategic visual communication, particularly in business settings, and demonstrate the ability to turn complex ideas into compelling visual narratives. This role will work closely with our marketing and strategy teams to create high-impact designs that align with Contango’s brand and strategic objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design & Production: Develop high-quality presentations, infographics, reports, and other marketing collateral, ensuring that visuals align with strategic messaging and consulting standards.
• Brand Consistency: Ensure all designs adhere to Contango’s brand guidelines while maintaining a professional consulting aesthetic.
• Data Visualization: Transform complex data and concepts into clear, engaging visuals, including charts, graphs, and interactive elements.
• Collaboration: Work closely with consultants, strategists, and marketing teams to understand project goals and deliver effective design solutions.
• Stakeholder Management: Present and defend design decisions to internal stakeholders, articulating the rationale behind the design choices.
• Innovation: Stay updated with design trends within the consulting industry, continually improving and adapting design practices to enhance client impact.
