Graphic Designer

Traxxas is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to support a wide variety of high-profile, consumer-facing creative work. The ideal candidate will be able to accept direction, incorporate feedback, adhere to brand standards, and drive results both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• This is an on-site, FT position located in our McKinney HQ five days a week.
• This is a pure production role with no direct reports.

REQUIREMENTS

General Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in a wide range of design projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts, design, or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design.
• Experience in product packaging (Consumer Packaged Goods).
• A very strong attention to detail.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced marketing environment with shifting priorities.
• Experience managing one’s own deadlines and multiple design tasks simultaneously.
• A willingness to learn and be mentored.

Technical Requirements

• Highly proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.
• Knowledge of printing and prepress processes and how to prep artwork accordingly.
• Strong file management.
• Proficiency in the use of Mac OSX.
• Strong knowledge of layouts, graphic fundamentals, typography, and print.

Bonus Experience

• Vinyl decal cutting and wrapping experience.
• Knowledge of RC, automotive, powersports, or other enthusiast-driven industry.
• Experience with utilizing project management software (e.g. JIRA).

• Create visual assets that answer product and marketing needs across print, digital, and physical deliverables.
• Provide design support for products, consumer packaging, user manuals, signage, paint and decal designs, catalogs, brochures, product slicks, web visuals and other deliverables, as assigned.
• Gather design details, seek out answers and follow specifications for assigned deliverables.
• Quickly and accurately color correct images, as needed.
