We’re a mission-driven leader in medical technology and solutions with a legacy of integrity and innovation and we are currently looking for Greenfield Accounts Lead based in Johannesburg who is an individual contributor with in-depth knowledge of the healthcare value chain, as well as breadth of experience across multiple disciplines. You will be partnering with management teams of hospitals that are under construction to engage them in long-term partnership, to drive complex transformational change, implement innovative growth strategies, streamline patient-focused care pathways and optimize operations.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with Strategic Accounts Managers and the Salesforce to drive lead generation and develop new business opportunities mainly for new strategic accounts (Greenfield Accounts).
  • Build relationships with target accounts, understand their needs and priorities, help shape their value agenda and articulate relevant solutions and value propositions.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure a smooth and integrated sales process.
  • Lead deal negotiations and manage the closure of deals.
  • Coordinate the solution delivery to ensure that planned business outcomes are met for the customer and Medtronic.
  • Manage the account on an ongoing basis, ensure satisfaction and value generation, identify and harness next waves of opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and work with key customers and other stakeholders to identify and/or develop new solution/service opportunities in the market for new accounts.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields.
  • 5 to 7+ years of experience in sales and/or project management within life science industry ideally in medical device.
  • Verbal and written fluency in English, Russian or Arabic is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50-70%.
  • Proven track record of experience in a consultative sale of complex solutions within healthcare with strong project management skills to handle high complexity deals in a fast-growing environment
  • Excellent project management skills with finance acumen

Lean or Six Sigma experience within a big consulting firm in healthcare environment is highly preferred for this role.
