JOB TITLE: CLINIC GREETER
Job Summary: We are seeking a warm, professional, and detail-oriented individual to serve as our Patient Experience Coordinator and Clinic Greeter. This role is crucial in creating a welcoming, comfortable, and luxurious environment for our patients. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, an eye for detail, and the ability to maintain a calm and friendly demeanor in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Location: Downtown Vancouver - Transcend Specialized Dentistry
Position Type: Part-time (2-3 days/week) with potential to transition to full-time
Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (No evenings or weekends, unless requested)
Salary Range: $20 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree in hospitality or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or hospitality role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate needs
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and calendar management
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light cleaning duties
3. Patient Experience Enhancement (15%)
- Update patient names on treatment room TV screens
- Manage the hot towel machine, ensuring it’s turned on/off at appropriate times
- Continuously monitor and adjust clinic ambiance (lighting, temperature, music) for optimal patient comfor
Responsibilities:
- Patient Greeting and Hospitality (50%)
- Warmly welcome patients as they enter the clinic
- Offer and serve beverages (water, coffee, tea) to patients
- Provide a 5-star hospitality experience throughout the patient’s visit
- Assist patients with any non-dental needs or questions
- Manage the patient waiting area, ensuring comfort and satisfaction
- Clinic Appearance and Ambiance (30%)
- Maintain overall cleanliness and organization of the reception area, hallways, and washrooms
- Manage clinic aesthetics, including flower arrangements and decor
- Ensure proper functioning of ambiance elements (music system, Aromatech, etc.)
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the staff kitchen
- Manage laundry tasks, including folding and restocking towels
- Load and unload dishwasher at the start and end of each day
- Patient Experience Enhancement (15%)
- Update patient names on treatment room TV screens
- Manage the hot towel machine, ensuring it’s turned on/off at appropriate times
- Continuously monitor and adjust clinic ambiance (lighting, temperature, music) for optimal patient comfort
- Administrative Support (5%)
- Update the clinic calendar to accurately reflect patient arrival status
- Coordinate and schedule all team meetings
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned
- Occasional support in answering phones
