Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking a proactive, organised, autonomous and flexible candidate to fill the vacant role of Operations Coordinator.
This role is vital in supporting, advising and coordinating drivers and driving operations Australia-wide.
Based in Eagle Farm, QLD you will be the first point of contact for Greyhound drivers, providing 24 hour support to the whole network on a rotating shift basis. You will be an integral member of the Operations Team, ensuring that the company remains compliant with all internal and external regulations, standards and legislation whilst applying your knowledge and skills in incident management.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Solving problems and escalating where appropriate.
- Coordinating support services for breakdowns, injuries and other situations that may arise.
- Making decisions on routes and passenger changes.
- Managing compliance with legislative requirements, including Chain of Responsibility and National Heavy Vehicle Regulations.
- Logging all reported incidents in accordance with company policy.
- Checking and filing driver logbooks and driver pre departure paperwork.
- Monitoring and changing cycles, rosters and coach movements.
- Following existing policies and procedures including Incident Management Plans.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL HAVE:
- Knowledge of the coach, transport and/ or logistics industry.
- Experience in logistics or transport roles.
- Completion of competency “Administer the implementation of fatigue management strategies” or the ability to do so.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite).
- Excellent problem solving skills.
- The ability to manage challenging situations and handle pressure.
- Sound communication skills and a strong customer focus.
- Ability and willingness to work shifts on a rotating roster that includes day shifts, night shifts and weekend work.
- Tertiary qualification in appropriate logistics or transport based discipline would be favourable.
You will also possess a high degree of work ethic, personal presentation and teamwork.
