Description:

Role: Workplace Skills and Tools Instructor, Daytime Program
Reports to: Assistant Director, Director
Location: Vancouver, BC

DESCRIPTION:

Greystone College Vancouver is seeking part-time and contracted instructors for daytime classes: Mondays to Thursdays 8:30 am PST to 1:00 pm, Fridays 8:30 am to 11:30 am PST. Afternoon and Evening classes may be offered.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Provincial Instructor Diploma or equivalent or minimum 2 years teaching experience
  • One of the following is required:
  • Diploma or degree in in Human Resources, Communications, or Project Management and minimum 2 years industry experience
  • 10 years industry-related experience in the areas of human resources, communications, hiring and staff training, job coaching, and soft skills coaching

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Experience in Learning Management System (Moodle) an asset
  • Experience in TESOL international students a strong asset

Responsibilities:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver instruction that follows established program curriculum
  • Prepare subject materials for presentation to students in an interactive and student-centered environment on-line (Zoom or Teams), in person in the classroom, and/or hybrid
  • Apply learning strategies and techniques to classes of 15 30 international students with an intermediate level of English
  • Provide individual feedback and direction to students throughout the program
  • Evaluate and document student progress
  • Keep abreast of current industry practices
  • Other duties as assigned
