Description:

The Grocery Manager oversees various aspects of the grocery department, ensuring customer satisfaction, efficient stock management/on shelf delivery, and adherence to safety standards. Here are the key responsibilities:

  • Customer Service and Solutions:
  • Provide superior customer service by ensuring that products and services meet or exceed customer expectations and demands. Basically - you lead in how to make sure that the stock and products get to the shelf for customers quickly, correctly and display well.
  • Execute company programs to enhance store profitability and customer satisfaction, adhering to safety, labeling, health, and weights and measures standards. Essentially - you make sure that our displays are top notch, are set up properly, have the correct labelling and pricing and that we bring the specials to life for our customers.
  • Store Operations:
  • Responsible for overall grocery department and storeroom operations, including your team throughout the store. You are clear in your communication with your team - they know what they need to do, why and by when.
  • Supervise storing, stocking, and merchandising of all grocery products. And you work beside your team to help the store achieve its goals.
  • People Management:
  • Monitor your team’s performance (as a team and individually)
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding associates, store sales, and company information.
  • Staff Management:
  • Train, schedule, coach, and conduct performance reviews for the Grocery Department/Storeroom team members.
  • Rosters management.
  • Qualifications:
  • It would be great if you had experience in FMCG and in managing a sizeable team. SAP knowledge would also be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with grocery department products and the ability to offer solutions that exceed customer expectations.
  • Experience in maintaining cleanliness, checks and scanning, and loss prevention procedures.
