YOU’LL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Mechanical, process or structural engineering degree or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience in engineering design, test and/or operations in aerospace and/or industrial sectors
  • 3D CAD & PLM software (e.g. SolidWorks & EPDM)
  • Ability to work in fast paced, autonomously driven environment
  • Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships

THESE QUALIFICATIONS WILL BE NICE TO HAVE:

  • Experience with launch pad or engine test systems OR oil and gas, process, mining, structural steel or other similar industry
  • Experience with structural design and analysis
  • Experience with fabrication/production of industrial machinery and equipment
  • Experience with ASME, ASTM, and/or NASA ground system standards would be an asset
  • NX and Teamcenter

Responsibilities:

As Ground Systems Engineer I you will be involved in the design, build, test and commissioning of mechanical systems at our launch sites, test sites and mobile equipment. This includes fluid systems, gas systems, structures, and mechanisms. You will also be involved in project planning and working closely with technicians to ensure projects are delivered on time and to specification. An engineer I has the ability to perform low risk engineering with less input from experienced engineering reviews for allocated tasks.
