YOUR ROLE

As a Grounds & Maintenance Officer, your role will assist in the upkeep and maintenance requirements of the Village.

YOUR TASKS WILL INCLUDE:

• Perform gardening duties including mowing of all lawns, and ensuring edges and hedges are trimmed appropriately
• Maintain the village grounds, interior, and building surrounds in a neat, clean, tidy and presentable condition
• Manage garbage disposal and maintain cleanliness of outside areas/pool areas
• Assist with general maintenance of the property, general care and securing of equipment
• Report on any hazards or security breaches to the Retirement Village Manager
• Maintain the village’s relevant equipment and supplies and arrange replacement when necessary
• Perform driving duties of Ozcare vehicles including courier and delivery duties (as required)

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• Current Police Screening Certificate
• Current Queensland Driver’s Licence
• Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
• Be vaccinated (and maintain up-to-date vaccinations) against Influenza and Covid-19
• Certificate III or equivalent experience in a related area and/or A trade Qualification in the building industry e.g. Carpentry/building (desirable)
• Demonstrated relevant experience in undertaking gardening duties and the maintenance of the grounds
• Ability to empathise with disadvantaged and/or older persons
• Experience in stock management
