Description:
QUALIFICATION:
- Masters Degree in a relevant field such as conservation biology, environmental science, etc
- Computer Literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office
EXPERIENCE:
- 5-10 years working experience in Sustainability/Impact/Conservation
- Minimum of 2 years working experience in a general management position
- Proven English literacy (read, write and speak fluently)
- Experience working in Africa, preferably in different countries
- Experience working with local communities in Africa
- Excellent writing and editing skills
- Statistical analysis and reporting
- Development and implementation of Monitoring and Evaluation frameworks in a conservation and/or community development sphere
SKILLS:
- Motivated self-starter with high energy levels and ability to conceptualize and implement strategy.
- Require flexibility, and accuracy with excellent attention to detail, especially under pressure.
- Service and results orientated. Analytical and logical approach to problem solving and decision making.
- Good communication skills both written and oral.
- Ability to engage in and support marketing efforts.
- Organised, methodical, systems-based administrator with good time management skills.
- Need a strong work ethic, overtime will be required during events.
- Need good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with staff, guests, governments, NGOs, and academic institutions.
- Have a passion for the environment and making a sustainable difference
Responsibilities:
PRIMARY PURPOSE
Join the Wilderness Group Impact team to play a key role in implementing and coordinating the company’s Impact Strategy across multiple countries. This position focuses on amplifying the positive effects of Wilderness Group’s operations on biodiversity conservation and community empowerment within the diverse landscapes where we work.
As part of this role, you will also be responsible for facilitating knowledge sharing by transferring insights and data from our field projects to the company’s marketing teams, helping to communicate our mission and impact more effectively.
