Description:

We are currently seeking to hire a highly motivated and dedicated
Group Business Controller (all genders)
Full-time and permanent
into our Global Business Controlling team based at either our Headquarters in Hamburg, Germany or in Abingdon, UK. This is a key position within our Group Business Controlling organization, reporting to the VP Business Controlling. The position is responsible for supporting with the coordination of all global business controlling activities for Evotec Group, focused on strong business partnering across our matrix organization.
This is open to applicants willing to work from Hamburg, Germany, or Abingdon, UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior team members within Global Enabling Functions Business Partnering
  • Assist with the teams coordination with Business Leadership within HR, Supply Chain, IT, and R&D
  • Provide in depth analysis to Enabling Function Leadership of key KPIs
  • Own and execute key SOX controls
  • Execute the central analysis of enabling functions business performance across the Group
  • Provide KPI reporting to Global FP&A
  • Assist with the implementation of our global FP&A tool
  • Support Global FP&A in the budgeting and strategic planning processes
  • Work with Group Accounting during the Monthly, Quarterly, and Yearly closing process, including ownership of the Management Report / MD&A sections for external Financial Reporting

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Initial professional working experience in a similar role, ideally within life sciences / pharmaceutical sector, and/or within a public/global company
  • Experience of working in an international environment
  • Experience in a Group Business Controlling Environment
  • Strong IFRS knowledge
  • Experience with PCAOB and Sarbanes Oxley a plus
  • Business fluent in English, German a plus, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
