Your mission
Are you a dynamic and hands-on communications all-rounder with a proven experience in communication and content creation? As the BDR Thermea Corporate Communications Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating internal and external communications plans and initiatives to support BDR Thermea’s goals.
You will oversee the production of high-quality content that engages our internal and external stakeholders, increases our visibility, and builds recognition. Additionally, you will promote BDR Thermea’s vision and values, ensuring consistent messaging across the Group.
About the team
You’ll be an integral member of the Group Strategy & Marketing team, reporting to the Group Head of Communications at BDR Thermea Group’s head office. This team of multinational senior professionals specializes in areas of strategy, marketing, and communications. Your role is uniquely positioned within this ecosystem. In addition to your immediate team, you will also collaborate extensively with our network of communications professionals across our markets, and provide guidance and direction to them. This collective effort is pivotal in synchronizing our global external messaging while ensuring that all employees are informed, engaged, and united in our mission, culture, and strategic objectives. This is a hybrid role – you will be based in Apeldoorn and you can work remotely. As part of your role, you may expect some international travel.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the development and deployment of internal and external communications strategies and plans that align with the company’s goals and vision.
  • Write, design, create, and distribute high-quality, effective, and inspiring content and activities to keep our audiences informed and engaged across various channels, including internal communications articles, announcements, press releases, social media, and website updates.
  • Be active as an all-rounder, collaborating with many internal and external stakeholders and touching upon a wide variety of topics, including financials, sustainability, employee engagement, among others.
  • Able to create, plan, and develop comprehensive communications campaigns.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications teams in the countries to promote the company’s vision, mission, and values.
  • Identify clear communications goals and results that can be tracked and measured.
  • Maintain a calendar of communications, events, and activities to ensure the right cadence and timing.
  • Provide communication support to other departments, translating complex content into snackable, easy-to-read messages.

  • Project Management: Manage communication calendars. Stay organized and drive projects forward, even when multiple stakeholders are involved.
  • Intranet Management: Keep intranet content updated with news articles, announcements, policies, and resources to keep employees informed and connected.

You largely recognise yourself in this:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or another field relevant to the job responsibilities
  • Takes initiative to bring forward new ideas to deliver creative programs and improve processes.
  • 8 + years of experience working as a communication expert (or similar roles)
  • Strong project management skills, ability to run multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Dutch.
  • Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
