Group, Conference, and Events Sales Manager
A Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager helps the Groups, Conference, and Events department to actively convert customer inquiries into confirmed sales.
WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
As Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager, you will support the Groups, Conference, and Events department and the on-property Reservations Team to convert customer inquiries into confirmed sales actively. The Group, Conference, and Events (GCE) Sales Manager will interact frequently with customers and guests to learn about their needs and develop relationships with them to earn repeat and expand business. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Maximise all Group, Conference, and Event revenue opportunities
- To organize, plan, and prioritize your duties according to departmental plans and goals.
- Timely communication with internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents, or in person.
- Create and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes.
- Resolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts.
- Selling and influencing both internal and external clients.
- Make decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determining the best solution.
- Ensure high-quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest’s needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
- Participate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary.
- Other duties as necessary based on business needs.
