POSITION SUMMARY
Based out of our manufacturing site in Brampton, Ontario, working closely with the site Director of Operations and also with the Director of Finance supporting the North American Accessibility business, you will support a $250M+ business as the Finance lead. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced finance person to lead the finance function at our largest site in North America and help drive growth and profitability. This role is ideal for an individual looking to learn and become entrenched in the operations side of the business while managing the day-to-day accounting/finance function. Success in this role will require a self-starter, with a strong analytical and business mindset, who is keen to understand the financial results and operating activities as well as drive efficiencies within the finance function. This individual will be an experienced accountant and will help lead the identification of underlying opportunities for growth and cost management and determine drivers/root causes and translate these into actions and the insights required to improve business and financial performance.
MINDSET, SKILLS & EDUCATION

- Great communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A minimum of 10 years of successful and progressive finance experience and 5 years leading accounting/AP/AR teams
- Full understanding of IFRS and experience with subsidiary reporting in a public company environment
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced, decentralized environment
- Strong commercial and business acumen
- Strong hands-on mindset, problem solver, change agent
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. Master’s degree a plus
- CPA designation required. CPA, CA certification preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Exceptional organizational, written, verbal communication skills will be required
- Expert in Microsoft Excel, strong proficiency with Powerpoint and Word
- Experience with OneStream or Hyperion is an asset
- Experience using DOS based ERP is an asset
- Position will be fully on-site

Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the Finance Function for the Brampton manufacturing site, leading a team of 9 to deliver on annual goals and objectives and key operational metrics
- Manage all accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting and FP&A activities for the Brampton site
- Ensure monthly results are reconciled, reviewed and submitted timely and accurately into OneStream within a 4-day close timeline under IFRS
- Improve the existing control environment and ensure adherence to all Corporate accounting and finance policies
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and work with tax advisors to optimize the company’s tax position
- Coordinate and manage the external audit process, working closely with auditors to resolve any audit findings
- Oversee and execute annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting for the Brampton site
- Implement departmental budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior Management
- Highlight business performance risks, issues, and opportunities to Operations and work alongside Operations to remedy or execute as needed
- Prepare and oversee financial models and reasoning to support capital expenditures
- Work alongside operations and sales departments to drive improved working capital performance
- Responsible for developing ad hoc analyses to understand the core drivers of performance within the business
- Hire, train, motivate and on-board new team members
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports on a regular basis
- Mentor and coach team members on developmental areas, providing opportunities for continuous improvement, to grow and stretch individual capabilities and build a high performing team
- Develop excellent working relationships with various internal and external stakeholders including Corporate office and internal and external auditors as well as Finance peers
- Work collaboratively and liaise with other Finance peers providing leadership across the broader Finance team to share best practices, knowledge and to deliver superior results and improve collaboration across the groups
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and tools to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in finance to drive financial excellence
