Description:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Group Engineering Manager to lead our engineering and maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and development of high-quality products, processes, and maintenance, all while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. The Group Engineering Manager will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction of our projects, ensuring they align with our business goals and drive operational excellence.
You will be responsible for overseeing a team of engineers and maintenance technicians in the completion of engineering projects across our Environmental, Water and Construction divisions. The successful candidate will work in our Head Office in Killarney. The position will involve occasional travel to our other sites in the UK and Europe.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in progressive engineering management responsibilities, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management position.
- Experience in leading, directing, and managing technical resources for a multi-site manufacturing operation.
- Management of capital budget and planning programme.
- Strong technical background with hands-on technical experience in a product based manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex engineering projects within budget and on-time.
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Experience with Lean / Six Sigma methodologies tools is advantageous.
