Description:

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in a Financial Systems function.
  • Relevant university degree with professional designation (or advanced standing as appropriate).
  • Strong combined financial and information system literacy.
  • Experience working in a finance background with strong understanding of Finance Accounting & Control processes, and wider business processes.
  • Experience in change management processes capable of monitoring the effectiveness of those processes.
  • Prior implementation and improvement experience for Cloud ERP systems an advantage.
  • Team lead experience for Finance Systems with 5 – 7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly language and vice versa.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Experience in managing diverse senior stakeholders, including finance business leaders, technical teams, and external vendors ensuring on-going buy-in and commitment to change.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

Responsibilities:

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance and IT to understand their current systems and processes and ambitions for future improvements.
  • Take a lead role in the on-going assessment of current software stack identifying, through collaboration, the potential to refine scope of products utilised.
  • Identification and prioritisation of processes for automation and roadmap / timeline for opportunities.
  • Collaborate with senior finance stakeholders to develop the finance systems strategy, define the project pipeline and drive delivery of improvement projects.
  • Continuously monitor the market to identify improvement opportunities and take ownership of the roll out of new technology systems within Group Finance (including assessment and structured implementation of AI and Gen AI tools across Group Finance).
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budget tracking.
  • Work closely with Group Information Security and Financial Reporting Controls teams to ensure data integrity, internal controls and audit trails are maintained throughout all applications including maintaining comprehensive documentation of all transformation activities, including plans, schedules, risk assessments, and post-transformation reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices and lessons learned to enhance future transformation activities.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for status reports, risk management, and issue resolution. Representing and explaining progress reports to senior stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure they are fully prepared for system updates addressing any concerns or issues that arise during the transformation process.
