Sofigate is growing fast, and we’re looking for a talented Group Financial Controller to join our team. You will be an integral part of our Group Finance Team, overseeing a wide range of financial responsibilities while leading and supporting your colleagues in the finance department.

As part of the Group Finance Team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with group’s other finance leaders. You will be the supervisor for the Financial Accounting team in Finland (External Accounting), which currently comprises six members.

Requirements & skills:
- Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience in financial reporting and group consolidation
- Solid understanding of Finnish tax legislation
- People person with experience as a team leader or supervisor
- Fluent written and spoken Finnish and English
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a passion for teamwork and project collaboration
- Enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Problem-solving attitude with a “can-do” mentality
- Passion for developing and improving processe
Responsibilities:
- Group Consolidation and Bookkeeping: Managing and overseeing the financial consolidation process across all regions.
- Sales Invoicing, Accounts Receivable, and Payable: Overseeing invoicing processes and managing both AR and AP efficiently.
- Cash Management: Ensuring the optimal use of cash resources across the company.
- Year-End Closing and Audit: Leading the year-end closing process and coordinating audits.
- Monthly Closing: Driving accurate and timely monthly financial reporting.
- Taxes: Ensuring compliance with tax regulations, including Finnish tax legislation.
- Operating Expenses Management: Supervising the management of operating expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.
You’ll also play a key role in various programs and ongoing initiatives, such as:
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects
- Transfer pricing strategies
- Process improvements for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness
Who are we looking for?
