This can be a remote working role so can be based anywhere in the UK

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Comfortable working with large data sets and producing insightful reports for strategic decision making.
  • Finance and accounting specialist or higher business management training in the field of accounting
  • Professional experience in accounting, preferably in a similar function.
  • IT affinity, especially experience with BI (Qlik Sense) and SAP, is essential
  • A solid understanding of financial principles, tax regulations, and accounting standards. This includes familiarity with specific accounting practices relevant to pharmaceuticals and biotechnology
  • Able to work as an individual as well as team player.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to manage intricate financial data and statements. Interpret trends, and identify anomalies.
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • CIMA desirable but not essential

Responsibilities:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To support the Global Head of FP&A with the production of the weekly & monthly financial reporting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Working with large data sets extracted from SAP ERP support the production of the weekly & Monthly reporting cycle, including:
  • Weekly sales performance by division and country. Utilizing information held within SAP.
  • Weekly open orders (SAP) and CRM opportunities (SAP)
  • Production of divisional P&Ls during period close. Working with the Head of FP&A for Peptides in supporting the allocation of US costs across divisions.
  • Consolidation of the annual budget returns from each division/country.
  • Support Global head of FP&A in retrieving and assimilating data to support questions from Investors and Advisors.
  • Work closely with group budget holders (ie Marketing & IT) to analyse, monitor and improve spend.
  • Ad hoc analysis following request from the wider business or investors.
