Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE
The Group General Counsel will serve as the chief legal advisor for Razor, providing comprehensive legal oversight and ensuring the company operates within the legal frameworks of the jurisdictions it operates in. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with deep expertise in M&A, company law, venture capital financing, e-commerce who is able to manage complex projects, to find pragmatic solutions for legal challenges and to lead a team of excellent legal professionals. The Group General Counsel will play a critical role in guiding the company’s legal strategy, managing legal risks, and ensuring compliance regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- furthering the development and implementation of our legal strategy in alignment with evolving business objectives.
- providing strategic legal advice to the executive team and other team members on a wide range of issues including M&A, compliance, intellectual property, contracts, and litigation.
- leading and managing the legal department, including internal and external legal resources.
- ensuring our corporate governance framework and overseeing the preparation and management of board meetings, minutes, and resolutions.
- managing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- educating and training employees on legal and regulatory matters as needed.
To succeed in this role you:
- are a fully qualified German lawyer with a strong academic record.
- gained 6+ years’ experience in a law firm as well as in an in-house environment in M&A, corporate law, commercial law (experience in public capital markets law is a plus).
- have a solid understanding of other legal areas such as IP law, consumer law, labor law and are able to draft and negotiate a wide range of contracts.
- master the balance between business growth and manage risks.
- demonstrate strong commercial acumen and have great analytical skills with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented and sound legal recommendations and solutions.
- hold strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- have excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills in English and German
