Westland Milk Products is a well-known New Zealand end-to-end dairy manufacturer based in the beautiful South Island with offices and production facilities based in both Christchurch and Hokitika.
Owned by the Global Top 5 dairy company Yili Group, Westland Milk Products and its related companies in New Zealand, Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition Ltd (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton) and EasiYo (Auckland) form a group that we refer to as the Yili Oceania Business Division (YOBD). The combined business produces over 170,000mt of finished goods which are then exported to over 40 countries, driving annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B - and growing.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to our Group Risk and Assurance Manager and based in Christchurch (Hornby) we have a rare opportunity to join Westland Milk Products as our Group Internal Auditor, working at a YOBD group level. It’s a great opportunity to develop your career further, providing internal audit advice and gaining experience working across a successful group of companies in the NZ Dairy industry.
Covering a wide range of systems and processes, this role will give you exposure at all levels, carrying out independent and objective assurance activities by conducting reviews of key business processes and providing quality information to assist business managers to achieve business objectives, manage and control business risk and comply with regulatory requirements and company policy.
The role will champion risk management and internal control disciplines and educate the business on continuous improvement and best practice in this area. As such the Group Internal Auditor will require exceptional planning and relationship building skills, good analytical and reporting abilities combined with a proactive and inquisitive approach.
