Description:
Job Title: Senior Management Accountant
Role Purpose:
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for producing high-quality financial information that drives strategic decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting & Analysis:
- Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and insightful commentary.
- Oversee the general ledger (GL) and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
- Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
- Financial Integration & Control:
- Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities, ensuring a smooth transition into the existing reporting and governance framework.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls across all entities.
- Liaise with management teams and the Group Finance function to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Audit & Compliance:
- Manage the statutory audit process for assigned entities, liaising with external auditors to address queries and ensure a smooth audit completion.
- Oversee tax compliance across the organization, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
- Process Improvement:
- Continuously identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
- Drive the adoption of best practices and leverage technology to enhance financial reporting capabilities.
- Project Support:
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed, such as system implementations, process re-engineering, and special analyses.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements for management reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Experience with multiple finance systems is highly desirable.
- Experience in the insurance industry is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Adaptable and comfortable with change, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- A proactive and results-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €70,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
