Description:

Job Title: Senior Management Accountant
Role Purpose:
As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be a key member of the Finance team, responsible for producing high-quality financial information that drives strategic decision-making. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  • Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, including key performance indicators (KPIs), variance analysis, and insightful commentary.
  • Oversee the general ledger (GL) and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements.
  • Financial Integration & Control:
  • Lead the financial integration of newly acquired entities, ensuring a smooth transition into the existing reporting and governance framework.
  • Implement and maintain robust financial controls across all entities.
  • Liaise with management teams and the Group Finance function to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Audit & Compliance:
  • Manage the statutory audit process for assigned entities, liaising with external auditors to address queries and ensure a smooth audit completion.
  • Oversee tax compliance across the organization, ensuring timely and accurate tax filings.
  • Process Improvement:
  • Continuously identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices and leverage technology to enhance financial reporting capabilities.
  • Project Support:
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed, such as system implementations, process re-engineering, and special analyses.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements for management reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
  • Experience with multiple finance systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a strong advantage.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptable and comfortable with change, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive and results-oriented approach with a passion for continuous improvement.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: €70,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
