Contract: Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

Are you an experienced Management Accountant or Group Management Accountant with a passion for continuous system improvements?
This role will play a key part in our firm’s ambitious growth plans to double in size over the next five years. If you want to be part of a company where you can make a significant impact, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
With a strong emphasis on system improvements, this position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking full ownership of multiple finance projects while still being involved in the quarterly consolidation of Management Accounts across our four group companies.
We are looking for a forward-thinking, confident accountant with attention to detail. You will be responsible for overseeing the production of management accounts, preparing commentary for the board, managing the budget and forecast, handling reporting production, assisting in all areas of the firm’s financial reporting, and playing a key role in various financial projects alongside the Finance team.
The ideal candidate should have experience in preparing and finalising management accounts, producing financial accounts, leading a team, and partnering with other areas of the business.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING:

Be a qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or QBE
Have an excellent working knowledge of Excel and a good working knowledge of Sage 200
Be methodical, and analytical and have good attention to detail
Be a team player who has a strong work ethic, along with a willingness to learn and seek guidance as appropriate
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
An inquisitive mind and is good at gathering evidence and solving problems

Responsibilities:

Quarterly consolidation of Management Accounts across the Group
Assist in preparation of subsidiary financial statements
Support in quarterly VAT returns
Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
Analysing profitability and recovery
 Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
Support the preparation of year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
Helping with regulatory reporting and compliance
Support the financial functions of subsidiary firms
