We’re partnering with a recognised growing software organisation with a turn over in the high millions based in Greater Fareham, who are a family-run global design company. Their goal is to create family-friendly interactive entertainment featuring popular franchises, continuing their year on year growth plans. As the finance team expands, they have a newly created role as a Senior Management Accountant to join their team. The focus of this Senior Accountant position is to improve the accounts function and provide valuable insights. This role is not inheriting a list of existing job duties but will be developing the management reporting offering for the group, so an excellent opportunity to add real value to the organisation.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely provision of monthly financial information and management accounts. You will also be key to our process improvement, reporting enhancements and creating best practice for the team.

Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare and produce management accounts, including group consolidated accounts for the Board and private equity owners
  • Create, review, and reconcile group balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Support year-end statutory reporting and collaborate with relevant team members
  • Ensure high-quality financial data reporting and accuracy, addressing issues in current management accounts
  • Redesign and resolve issues in the balance sheet, including clarifying accruals, and provide guidance to the general finance team
  • Focus on reviewing rather than inputting to the General Ledger; ensure accuracy in financial data managed by the Finance Controller and their team
  • Develop and enhance the management accounts pack to provide more insightful information for management and improve reporting for external stakeholders
