Group Manager – Insurance (Logistics)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Assist Senior Group Insurance Manager with:

• Logistics / Freight Forwarding Renewal / operation specific insurance contracts to ensure appropriate and cost-effective cover is in place.
• Play active role in contractual review and negotiation
• Deliver training around contractual negotiation and risk transfer cost implications
• Deliver training and develop the Shipper’s Interest Cargo Insurance product.
• Provide day to day support for regions.
• Monitor claims process and liaise accordingly with Manager / Insurer
• Monitor Premium Payment Status
• Assist with issuance of Insurance Documentation
• Respond to cover queries from business units.
• Engage and educate the business around ongoing consolidation of DP World’s Insurance covers

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

• Transport / Logistics Liability Insurance Experience. Minimum 7 years industry experience.
• Ideally a law degree.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills.
• Marine Liability legal knowledge.
• Understanding of cargo insurance.
• 5 Years Minimum Experience working within a marine liability insurance organization

The role will be a focal point of Group Insurance activities for Logistics and Freight Forwarding. Reporting to the Group Senior Manager for Logistics to ensure a coordinated insurance strategy is executed. There will be daily interaction with brokers / Underwriters re the placement of risk, requiring the individual to be able to assist our Global business units with contract negotiation and risk transfer / pricing.
