Description:

As the Group Media & SoMe Manager, you will drive the GN Group’s external corporate media outreach and social media initiatives on a global scale, ensuring they bolster the company’s strategic plan and daily business activities. In this capacity you will contribute to our purpose of Bringing People Closer.
The team you will be part of
At our global HQ, located in Ballerup, Denmark, you will join our Group Communication team and report directly to Vice President, Group Communication, Steen Frentz Laursen.
Group Communication is responsible for all internal communication, corporate brand, external corporate media, and social media.
We collaborate closely with colleagues in our business divisions, where product communication and PR is shaped for our core product brands - such as Jabra, ReSound, and SteelSeries– as well as with other corporate functions. Since you are spearheading our corporate media and social media outreach, you will be collaborating across the whole organization – incl. with our Executive Leadership Team.
Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:
- Create and handle the GN Group´s external corporate level media and social media outreach program to support company strategy and daily business at a global level.
- Work with Executive Management and Executive Leadership to coach and support them in media and social media relations.
- Collaborate with the Investor Relations team in relation to financial media.
- Initiate and carry out well-planned outreach efforts to elevate the GN Group’s profile in harmony with established communication strategies of the corporation. Sell-in stories of interest to national and international media, collaborating with colleagues throughout the organization.
- Plan and implement tactical campaigns, press visits, and media relations and capitalizing on topical, relevant opportunities in the national and international news agenda.
- Act as the main point of contact for all media enquiries at the GN Group level; Cultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships with the media, including developing and managing relevant media contacts.
- Cooperate with communication professionals in PR and social media to adhere to the company’s media policies and facilitate the operation of the GN Group’s Communication Network, incorporating the skills of earned PR and social media managers from each business segment.
- Ensure that company spokespersons protect and promote the GN Group’s image in a proper, coordinated, and consistent manner – this includes implementing media training programs and ensuring that any colleagues involved in any media initiatives are well prepared and guided.
- Build and maintain internal relationships across all areas of the organization to source relevant stories - research and develop stories suitable for publication in external media + realizing ideas from internal Communication Partners – incl. writing releases and posts - raise the GN Group´s profile generally, and the profile of specific activities.
- Diligently track media exposure and results, recognizing potential public relations situations promptly and engaging with them pre-emptively.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you have:
- A higher education background at Master level within journalism, communication, or a related relevant discipline.
- Several years of solid and proven experience with media relations in a listed company.
- Solid business and strategy insight, strong analytical skills.
- Creative ideas that allow you to find new routes to get the right story out.
- An individual with the initiative and the interpersonal skills to engage in productive discussions with coworkers and supervisors across the organizational hierarchy.
- Clear evidence of ability to establish good and trustful relations with journalists.
- Clear evidence of story-telling experience.
- Social media execution experience.
- High proficiency in English as this is our company language – and in Danish since key corporate and financial media relations are with Danish media.
