Are you a qualified accountant with a passion for managing financial reporting, audits, and leading a team? If so, this fixed-term opportunity at Peabody might be the perfect fit for you.
As Group Reporting Manager, you’ll provide essential accounting support to finance leaders across the group, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely consolidated and legal entity accounts. You’ll lead your team to ensure financial control and accuracy, manage the group audit process, and act as a key consultant on accounting matters. This role also requires managing the month-end close process and ensuring system controls are robust and effective.
You’ll be responsible for driving value for money through effective financial challenge and ensuring that Peabody’s financial records are accurate and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting on a monthly basis.
- Lead the group audit process and manage the preparation of consolidated and entity accounts.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger.
- Oversee the month-end close process and implement new account codes.
- Line manage and support a finance team, providing a reliable service to stakeholders.
- Act as an internal expert on accounting issues across the group.
To be a success in this role, you have:
- A CCAB accountancy qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience.
- Strong audit experience, either as an auditor or a key contributor.
- Excellent technical accounting knowledge, with an up-to-date awareness of accounting standards.
- Proven line management experience and leadership skills.
- Communication skills that include influencing and developing business networks, with a collaborative approach.
- Ability to prioritise tasks effectively based on business needs.
- A strong commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (ED&I), with a focus on fostering a positive team environment.
