REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified CA(SA) with 1-2 years of post-article experience.
  • Experience in a reporting role is advantageous.
  • Lending industry experience is not required.
  • Flexibility for occasional travel.
  • Passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Unifi is recruiting a new role within its group finance team to build and improve financial structures. The role encompasses ownership of the group reporting function and some financial management.
The ideal candidate must balance financial diligence with entrepreneurial energy, be analytically adept and have a passion for African business. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be helpful. Flexibility to travel will be required.

ROLE PURPOSE

  • To design, implement and maintain reporting structures with which the finance department can support both the business and the client.
  • To effectively manage the finances of the group’s holding company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Holistically understand the business.
  • Further develop and document the financial control environment.
  • Responsible for group wide reporting, including timelines, format and consolidation.
  • Responsible for maintenance and tailoring of finance software.
  • The management of Group audit and budgeting/forecasting.
  • Financial management of 1 legal entity.
  • Staff management of 4 team members
