As our Group Sales Manager - International, reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of International business in the hotel and event segments. Your focus will be on proactive sales activity, attending trade shows targeting international markets, conducting sales calls, participating in industry body led famils and prospecting for new bookings.
This is a fantastic opportunity to play an important part of an energetic and driven sales team, contributing towards hotel and banquet revenue and driving occupancy via conversion of bookings from international market for our Gold Coast property.

Responsibilities:

  • Use your understanding of the international market along with your existing relationships and knowledge to build a strong pipeline of bookings
  • Bring a portfolio of clients from previous roles and workplaces, introduce them to The Star product and secure future bookings
  • Manage key accounts, strengthening existing relationships and significantly increase volume of international business at the property
  • Drive both inbound international group and FIT business into The Star Gold Coast.
  • Manage inbound OTA relationships, maximising on commercial opportunities for our hotel and apartment products.
