Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide consultative legal advice, highlighting important concerns to the Group General Counsel and the Board.
  • Develop and train staff on legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Manage employment litigation cost-effectively and stay updated on employment and health and safety law and trends.
  • Drive engagement with senior management on material matters

Responsibilities:

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role within a dynamic and progressive legal team? Crown Resorts is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel on a Part Time basis (3 days). You will serve as the primary advisor on employment and health and safety matters, ensuring we maintain a leading edge in all aspects of compliance and contractual obligations. This role requires close collaboration across our business with stakeholders in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who likes business partnering, engaging with senior management, and working on high calibre and interesting legal matters.

  • Develop and train staff on legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company policies.
  • Manage employment litigation cost-effectively and stay updated on employment and health and safety law and trends.
  • Drive engagement with senior management on material matters.

About you:

  • Significant in-house experience, with ideally at least 5 years PQE.
  • Expertise in drafting and advising on employment matters.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills, and highly computer literate.
  • Commercial acumen with a proactive approach to internal customer support.Eligibility to practice as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria.
