We embrace flat hierarchies and an open, agile culture that fosters innovation, flexibility, and creativity.
We don’t hang our personalities up with our coats and nor should you. At Octopus, we hire great people who get stuff done, all whilst being themselves.
We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our Strategic Finance team to support the exponential growth of our business in the UK and internationally.
You will play a key role in supporting the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) efforts across various segments of the Octopus Energy Group. You will work on building and managing financial models, preparing financial reports, and assisting in strategic decision-making processes.
This role will give you exposure to complex financial models and performance, including capital structure management, board and investor engagement, and financial reporting.

  • Support the CFO to identify and manage economic trade-offs across the business (growth, returns, liquidity) through capital allocation process, including evaluating impact of new lines of business (products, services) and other investments.
  • Provision of financial outlooks for the business at month end and some elements of month end reporting and analysis, including strategic overlay; support Group CFO with investor relations Q&A preparation.
  • Curate monthly financial, quarterly strategic board packs and other strategic material for the Group, including ad hoc investor relations requests.
  • Help manage monthly and ad hoc Group guarantees and capital allocation processes to subsidiaries and evaluate business cases for new requests/investments.
  • Support debt and equity funding and other projects that affect capital structure / allocation and financial risk, including work streams such as information memorandum preparation and due diligence. Help prepare financial reports and assist in lender Q&A to support ongoing bank relationships.
