Are you ready to make a difference in a fast-growing, innovative pharmaceutical company? Camurus, a Swedish science-led company, is strengthening our global Finance team and recruiting a new role as Group Tax Director to join our headquarters in Lund, Sweden.
As Group Tax Director, you will be a crucial part of the Group Finance team, leading our global tax function in both strategic and operational matters. Your role will involve compliance with tax regulations, optimizing tax strategies, and managing tax risks. You’ll work closely with finance and legal teams to align tax strategies with our business goals.
This is an opportunity to enter a new role, shaping and developing the tax function and contributing to our growth.

YOUR PROFILE:

We are looking for someone with at least seven years of strategic and operational experience of tax matters within a multinational corporation, with expertise in international tax, transfer pricing, and tax compliance. You need a proven track record of developing and implementing successful tax strategies and the ability to combine strategic planning with hands-on management.
You possess a technical knowledge of global tax laws, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. A proactive, service-minded approach is essential. Fluency in English and Swedish, along with proficiency in MS Office, is required.

Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy and Planning:

  • Develop and implement global tax strategies to optimize liabilities and support business objectives.
  • Advise senior management on the tax implications of business decisions and strategic initiatives.

Tax Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations in each country where Camurus is operating.
  • Lead the preparation and filing of tax returns, including income tax, VAT/GST, and transfer pricing documentation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and mitigate tax risks through effective planning and compliance strategies.
  • Maintain tax risk management policies and procedures.

Transfer Pricing:

  • Evolve transfer pricing policies to comply with OECD guidelines and local regulations.
  • Manage intercompany transactions to optimize tax positions.

Tax Audits and Disputes:

  • Lead tax audits and disputes with tax authorities.
  • Provide strategic support in tax litigation and controversies.

Other relevant tasks will include:

  • Work with finance, legal, and operations teams to align tax strategies with business objectives.
  • Provide tax advice on mergers, acquisitions, and corporate transactions.
  • Stay informed on tax legislation changes and industry trends.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the tax function’s efficiency and effectiveness.
