Description:

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Grow Technician shall be responsible for grooming, harvesting, cloning and cultivating plants in a clean and safe work environment, and shall also be responsible for plant maintenance and care.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Experience with horticulture considered an asset.
  • Follows through on commitments and adheres to deadlines.
  • Uses good judgement about when to act independently or escalate an issue.
  • Acts with Integrity: Demonstrates responsible, ethical and honest behavior while consistently leading by example.
  • Knowledge in Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) regulated environments.

SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to receive Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-growing environment.
  • Ability to work well within a team.
  • Punctual.
  • Ability to solve problems when issues arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs all aspects of cannabis production at the direction of the Master Grower including cloning, maintaining nutrient regiments, feeding plants, defoliation, topping, flushing, transplanting, trimming, harvesting, drying, packaging, labelling, and stickering.
  • Conducts all activities related to pre-rolls joints.
  • Performs regular plant maintenance.
  • General maintenance of the equipment.
  • Cleaning of production dishes.
  • Responsible for keeping the production area clean and ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring that cannabis is handled in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • May need to assist with other Cannabis related activities.
