About The Role:
The Customer Acquisition Team focuses on developing, marketing, and selling AGL products tailed to distinct needs and preferences of their customers. Through strategic marketing campaigns and third-party relationships, enhancing AGL’s market presence and customer preference, increasing market share and optimising the customer experience through impactful and innovative initiatives.
As the Growth and Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for driving market expansion and strategic growth by identifying and evaluating merger and acquisition opportunities, supporting due diligence and aiding in the integration of acquired businesses. You will collaborate with AGL’s Corporate Strategy Team and other resources across Customer Markets to contribute to the strategic roadmap by leveraging data and market insights.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Assisting in the identification of M&A opportunities, conducting initial market discussions, and supporting corporate development targets
  • Helping define strategic and operational requirements to align with aggregator and customer market strategies, including monitoring market trends and best practices to support the strategic roadmap and enhancing aggregation models.
  • Analysing financial and operational aspects of potential M&A targets with cross-functional teams.
  • Preparing business cases and strategic options for senior leaders and compiling findings and report to the executive team during the due diligence process.
  • Assisting in integration of acquired businesses into AGL, ensuring strategic alignment.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or a related field including experience in mergers and acquisitions, market analysis withing the energy or related industries.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data and metrics to drive informed decisions and an eagerness to stay informed about market trends and continuously improve knowledge and skills.
  • Basic understanding of energy and telecommunications products and services to support customer inquiries and sales processes, as well as knowledge of customer service best practices and a focus on delivering high quality, efficient, and customer-centric support.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and contribute to project success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
