Description:

Position Summary
As the Go-To-Market (GTM) Strategist for D2C in Samsung’s MENA region, you will be responsible for defining and leading Samsung’s direct to consumer eCommerce strategy across all relevant product categories. Being part of the D2C team (MENA Office) puts you in a leading position at the centre of excellence responsible for maximizing customer experience, brand presence and direct-to-consumer sales across online channels. This role requires a deep understanding of eCommerce sales, customer acquisition and retention strategies, UX/ UI, digital marketing, as well as a strong ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external teams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Own the regional Go-To-Market strategy for product launches & promotional campaigns ensuring a seamless rollout across different markets coordinating closely with internal teams and external partners balancing global consistency with regional flexibility
  • Define and implement region-specific GTM strategies ensuring alignment with product roadmaps and innovation cycles
  • Shape the winning strategy to differentiate always-on as well as campaign and product based offering of Samsung D2C vs other sales channels (offline and online)
  • Build the customer value/ channel proposition across global and regional campaigns, retention and acquisition programs that put samsung.com on top of mind for customers across the region
  • Lead the D2C vision, focusing on increasing Samsung’s market share in digital channels by optimizing online customer experiences, improving conversion rates, and driving revenue growth
  • Partner closely with product teams to align eCommerce strategies with product launches, updates, and promotions, ensuring that Samsung’s products are positioned effectively online and communicate Samsung’s USPs
  • Identify and prioritize high-growth opportunities for Samsung in key eCommerce markets across MENA, focusing on scaling existing channels and expanding into new digital marketplaces as well as shaping our O2O experience
  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to create pricing strategies, promotional campaigns, and bundling offers that enhance the online shopping experience on samsung.com across key campaigns
  • Utilize customer insights and data to continually refine and improve the online customer experience, driving customer satisfaction and retention
  • Champion new ideas and digital innovations that can elevate Samsung’s eCommerce presence, experimenting with cutting-edge solutions such as augmented reality (AR) shopping, AI-powered recommendations, etc.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to understand competitive positioning and identify new opportunities for growth in the MENA region’s digital landscape
  • Plan and manage promotional calendar, to build and execute cross-divisional campaigns to maximize sellout
  • Track and monitor key performance indicators to identify gaps then set and deliver action plans with markets key stakeholders and follow through with execution recommendations to positively impact sales performance
  • Collaborate closely with UX team to optimize the customer journey and conversion rates and ensure brand guidelines and standards are met across the different touchpoints
  • Align channel approach with company and division short-term and long term strategies and vision
  • Ideate and lead on new projects (customer proposition, product launches, promotional campaigns, etc.) targeting sales growth

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor/Master degree with 7+ years of eCommerce experience
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience within a fast growing eCommerce environment
  • Strong sales acumen and experience managing direct-to-consumer platforms (eStores)
  • Proven track record of managing successful eCommerce strategies, preferably within the consumer electronics or technology sector
  • Strong understanding of the eCommerce landscape in the MENA region, including market dynamics, customer behavior, and the competitive landscape.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, commercial and technical skills
  • Conceptual and strategic, and must embrace being an owner; getting involved in the details of the business
  • Proficiency in building clear and concise presentations to be used with C-Level management
  • Must possess interpersonal skills in order to build strong positive people relationships
  • Comfortable in a collaborative environment; flexible and open to ideas from all areas and levels of the organization
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, while being well organized and maintaining high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management to work on tight deadlines and handle the pressure of last-minute requests
  • Ability to operate comfortably and optimally in a fast-paced and highly dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of e-commerce trends, competitive landscape and digital customer experience
  • Strong analytical skills to be able to track and generate data based insights on a weekly basis
  • Comfortable interpreting sales and web traffic data and deriving actionable insights
  • Possess an innovative and solutions-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, and manage change effectively
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Must be system oriented and advanced user of MS-Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Fluency in English, Arabic, French and Turkish are a plus
