The Glasgow Marriott is looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Guest Experience Expert to join our wonderful team. The Guest Experience Expert sets the tone for every guest’s stay with a warm welcome, and you’ll be ready to answer to any questions and happy to offer information about the hotel services, facilities, and local area. You will take on responsibility for all functions relating to guest experiences, assuming responsibility of all hotel software systems, balancing all outlets to Opera and resolving discrepancies.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual who we anticipate will have worked in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is a fast learner, adaptable and has exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills. You will need to be extremely efficient and professionally skilled in:

Positive outlook and outgoing personality.
Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability.
The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift.
Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting preferred.

Responsibilities:

Process guest check-ins, assigning rooms and activating room keys.
Answer, respond to and process all guest calls, messages, questions or concerns.
Accurately record all relevant room and F&B statistics.
Check daily ledger accounts for correctness, resolving any discrepancies.
Give guests information and directions regarding property and local areas of interest.
Process check-outs and resolving any disputed charges.
Assist Front Office Supervisor whenever necessary to ensure smooth shift operations.
Process payments and room charges.
Confirm reservations and cancellations, running daily reports on the number of arrivals and departures.
