GUEST PROGRAMS ASSISTANT

American Cruise Lines is the largest domestic cruise line with a growing fleet of riverboats and cruise ships that travel to the most amazing destinations across the United States. We are looking for a Guest Programs Assistant to provide administrative expertise to support our growing fleet of cruise ships. The position reports to the Manager, Guest Programs and is based out of our home office located in Guilford, CT.
The Guest Programs department is involved in many aspects of cruise operations including entertainment, enrichment, shore excursions, transportation, pre-cruise hotels, land experiences, and guest communications. The Guest Programs Assistant will be working within all of these areas. The ideal candidate must be extraordinarily organized, accurate, detail-oriented, communicative, and must enjoy working with a team and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

NO FIELD RELATED EXPERIENCE REQUIRED; YOU WILL BE FULLY TRAINED.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate between multiple departments to ensure guest preferences are accommodated.
  • Collaborate with all Guest Programs sub-departments including shore excursions, entertainment & enrichment, pre-cruise hotels, land experiences, travel, transportation, and analytics.
  • Assist the Coordinator, Entertainment & Enrichment with the scheduling of shipboard entertainment and enrichment.
  • Arrange travel for entertainers and guest speakers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoice control and verification.
  • Assist with guest communications.
  • Review guest comments and provide feedback to sub-department head.
  • Act as a company representative and work with leadership to resolve any issues as they arise.
  • Provide data entry as needed.
  • Additionally, there will be significant opportunity for upward mobility as the organization continues to expand.

  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office.
