GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Dedicated to creating experiences our team members and guests are amazed by, the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park is always looking for people who can help bring our mission to life. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic Park Ambassadors motivated by providing exceptional guest service.
Guest Service Agents welcome guests to Capilano and promote the Capilano experience by sharing specific knowledge of the park. Process admissions, BC Annual Passes, and attend to guests’ needs and enquiries. Ensure all guests are made aware of marketing promotions and interactive media within our venues, making every effort to exceed expectations.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work in several areas of the department including the Front Gate, Guest Service, Bridge House Guest Services and Groups and Information.
  • Handle all guest inquires and concerns,
  • Be the first friendly face guests see when entering the park.
  • Sell tickets, process BC Annual Passes and online E-Store tickets and provide concierge services.
  • Smile and greet every Guest,
  • Assist with line control to increase queue speed and to direct guests to the appropriate available ticket window,
  • Welcome guests to Capilano by approaching them and providing your specific park knowledge and personal enthusiasm,
  • Ensure that guests have a clear understanding of the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park experience and what we have to offer (providing available materials),

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Minimum 1 year of Guest Services experience
  • Positive, friendly, outgoing, and energetic personality
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience in public speaking is an asset
  • Level 1 or 2 occupational first aid is an asset
  • Second language is an asset
  • Team Members are required to be on their feet for extended periods of time
  • Team Members are expected to deliver the position as described under various weather conditions including but not limited to sun, rain, snow, sleet
  • Team Members must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions in the dark
  • Team Members are occasionally required to lift and carry up to 20lbs, climb a step ladder or step stool
