CAPABILITIES:

Proven experience in Guidewire Insurance suite including Guidewire Policy enter, Guidewire
Claim enter, Contact Manager, Guidewire Edge.
Proven experience in Broker Connectivity Integrating Policy enter to the BMS systems for various use
cases.
Experience in Guidewire Cloud Platform capabilities and cloud migration approaches/options.
Experience in using APD and Integration Framework in solving business problems
Experience in architecting integration solution involving Guidewire to the ecosystem’s applications
including document, finance, payments exposure.
Experience in integration architecture design and implementation.
Knowledge of digital technologies, cloud computing, and modern development practices.
Certified in the public cloud (AWS or Azure)
Strong knowledge of end-to-end project lifecycle methodologies (mainly agile).
Strong technical experience. This maybe broad experience with the ability to apply it across a variety of
customer and business scenarios.
The role holder must care about technology and how to exploit it for the benefit of our customers.
Financial acumen to support development of business cases and to inform key design decisions.
Ability to balance long-term direction and necessary short-term goals.
Good communication skills with the ability to provide technical guidance to peers and project colleagues.

Responsibilities:

Define end-to-end solutions for IT change focusing on the Guidewire Insurance suite.
Create architecture to support broker connectivity integrating with the Guidewire Policy enter to BMS
Vendors
Create Guidewire centric designs that are fit for purpose from a functional, non-functional, service, and
security point of view.
Deliver solutions that progress the overall architecture journey and are aligned to Aviva’s IT Strategy
Comply with standards, design approaches and governance.
Nature of Work
Solutions and Assurance
o Create solutions and design for Guidewire Insurance platform (Guidewire Policy enter, Guidewire
Claim enter, Guidewire Billing enter, Guidewire Contact Mgr.) based projects to meet Aviva’s
standards for technology and ensure they meet our ambitions for availability, security, resilience, and
performance.
o Produce Guidewire design and migrant options with associated costs, benefits, and risks to enable
investment decisions.
o Create migrant solution to convert the policies from legacy system to Guidewire Policy enter
o Work with product owners, enterprise architects, platform teams and other project colleagues to
agree trade-offs between, long-term and short-term goals.
o Responsible for the integrity of the end-to-end Guidewire solution across Platforms, including
transition states used to achieve the target state.
o Shape and estimate IT initiatives and feature team sprints, ensuring that component parts deliver
against business outcomes.
o Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
o Record any solution debt incurred during the transition phase of the solution and address the same in
future phases.
o Identify potential risks and challenges associated with proposed solutions.
o Develop mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
o Participate in post-implementation reviews and provide feedback to improve future solution designs.
Technical Leadership
o Keep up with technological developments in the Guidewire platform, Guidewire integration and
evaluate how well they fit into the company’s architecture.
o Evaluate Guidewire Cloud Platform features, assess its capacities against business needs and
recommend for adoption.
o Support defining the architecture best practices and standards in the Guidewire space and enforcing
them in the project solutions.
o Conduct architecture reviews to ensure compliance with established guidelines.
o Ensure design artefacts are produced to support stakeholder group for service, security, architecture,
and engineering.
o Peer reviews the design artefacts of others.
o Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to less experienced team members as required.
