Hadoop Scala Developer

We are seeking a Hadoop, Spark, and Java/Scala Developer with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in developing applications using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java/Scala, Hadoop, Spark, and Spring Framework to build and optimize large-scale applications. The role also requires experience in cloud migration (AWS/Azure) and containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift. This position involves working closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+ years of application development experience in Hadoop, Spark, and Java/Scala.
• 10+ years of experience in Java and the Spring Framework.
• 5+ years of experience developing and optimizing Big Data applications using Java/Scala and Spark on Cloudera/HDP.
• Proven experience in micro-service architecture design and development.
• Experience in one of the major cloud providers (AWS/Azure) and migrating large-scale, complex projects from on-prem to Cloud, including hybrid options.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Development experience in Spring & Spring Boot.
• Working knowledge of Jenkins CI, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders – both business and technical.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Experience in building data pipelines on AWS/Azure and/or Databricks.
• Knowledge in Market Risk, Capital Markets, or Banking.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $34.67/hour - $54.18/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
