Doctors Direct have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant, Haematologist to work with us at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust in Haematology.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:

• Provide expert care for patients with a range of haematological conditions, including malignant (e.g., leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma) and non-malignant disorders (e.g., thrombosis, bleeding disorders, anaemias).
• Oversee the management of patients requiring chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
• Interpret complex haematology investigations, including blood smears, bone marrow biopsies, and molecular diagnostics.
• Provide guidance on transfusion medicine, including blood product usage and management of complex transfusion cases.
• Participate in the on-call rota, managing urgent haematological issues, including bleeding complications, thrombotic events, and acute haematological malignancies.
• Lead and support quality improvement initiatives within the haematology service.

• Days per week: Ad hoc shifts
• Start date: ASAP- no end date, this is on-going the client will accept short term contracts
• Rate of pay: £125 -£175
• Payment method: PAYE we do NOT facilitate payment through LTD/umbrella companies
